My computer’s built-in temp thermometer says it’s 25 F right now. We had a little snow yesterday, didn’t amount to much. According to the extended forecast, we should be hitting 57 F by mid-week. I’m all over that. Snow is beautiful but c’mon, we’ve had enough already!
I have a bunch of domestic things to do today, many of which involved picking up after the cat. He’s currently prowling around the place right now: first at the door, then looking out the window, jumping down and standing next to me and poking his head under my arm. I tried to pick him up and pet him, but he walked away. What’s up with that? Does he want attention or not?
I was watching Alton Brown make sauerbraten yesterday. He had a big segment on vinegar and how it’s made as well. I learned that I should not be using my balsamic vinegar in vinaigrette for salad dressing. Oops. I like it tho’! I use Monari Federzoni, because I like the pretty bottle and it tastes good. It also doesn’t break the bank. Maybe Alton was talking about the more expensive versions?
In any case, seeing as how it will be over 50 on Wednesday, I won’t be making heavy dishes like sauerbraten for a while. We’ve been eating lots of fresh veggies and lean protein, according to the Schwarzbein Principle method. I’m not so good at eliminating all sugar, however: I have to have a little in my coffee. Coffee’s not part of the diet program either, but the alternative is me snapping at everyone around me if I don’t get my coffee. I have to have my coffee and my quiet morning time.
Okay, I’ve managed to delay doing any housework for at least 15 more minutes, yay! Have a great day!

When I went to sugarless coffee, I put some flavoured coffee in with the regular. It helped. When the flavoured coffee was all gone, I was over it.
